This recipe is my copycat version of how to make Cheetos cookies. Cheetos cookies are made from Cheetos puffs and have a unique and interesting flavor of sweet and savory. Great cheddar cheese flavor with a soft texture and a Cheetos dust exterior. These Cheetos cookies are fun to make and bake....and eat. Don't forget to lick your fingers! Enjoy.

How to Make Cheetos Cookies ~ Cheesy Cheetos Cookie Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/4 cup flour
4 cups of whole Cheetos puffs - to be crumbled
1 tbsp. powdered cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter - room temp
1/4 cup shortening - room temp
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
**I used 4 full cups of Cheetos puffs and crumbled in
food processor. You will need the extra for rolling
and topping the cookies.
In a bowl combine the flour, Cheetos crumbs, salt,
baking soda, cream of tartar and powdered cheddar cheese.
Mix well to combine.
In another bowl add the room temperature butter, shortening
and sugar. Mix and cream well together. Add egg and mix
well again.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in batches
and mix well.
Cover and refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes.
Make the cookie dough balls (3/4" to 1") and gently press
down to slightly flatten. (or you can leave as ball).
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until crackled on
top.
Remove from the oven and garnish. Let cookies completely
cool.
Can store in a lidded air tight container.
Enjoy.
*Yields 2 dozen small cookies and 1 to 1 1/2 dozen larger cookies
