This is a great Chinese stir fry recipe using black jasmine rice instead of white. Tonight I made a Chinese shrimp black fried rice stir fry. It was YUM! The black rice has a nutty flavor with a grainy texture. Love the flavor and color! Asian Recipes by Tess Cooks4u https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YIct... ***************************************** Chinese Shrimp Black Fried Rice Stir Fry Recipe INGREDIENTS: 1 pound cleaned raw shrimp 4 cups cooked black jasmine rice 1 cup diced onions 1 1/2 cup diced multi color bell peppers 1 cup chopped snow peas 4-5 Shitake mushrooms 1 cup Beech mushrooms 4 chopped garden onions - whites and greens separated 3 chopped red chilies - optional 4-5 cloves minced garlic 1 tsp. minced ginger oil SAUCE: 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp. light soy sauce 2 tbsp. oyster sauce 1 tsp. sesame oil 1 tsp. cornstarch *Mix above ingredients Cook the black rice - need 4 cups Soak shitake mushrooms Make the sauce Prep the vegetables Cook the shrimp In a pan on med high heat add oil, minced garlic, ginger and onions. Cook and stir for one minute. Add rehydrated sliced shitake mushrooms and red chilies (optional). Cook and stir for one minute. Add bell peppers and snow peas. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add a little water to help cook vegetables and deglaze pan. Add in Beech mushrooms. Stir to combine. Add in cooked black rice. Stir to combine. Pour sauce over top, add chopped green onions. Stir to combine. Add shrimp and juices back into pan. Stir to combine.
