Slow Cooker Honey Balsamic Beef
INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 - 4 pounds beef - london broil cut or chuck roast
*Season each side with salt and black pepper.
Brown each side for 3-4 minutes in a med high heat oiled skillet
Sauce:
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup honey or brown sugar
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. dried onion flakes
1/4 tsp. salt - to taste
1 tbsp minced garlic
pinch red pepper flakes - optional
*Mix ingredients together in slow cooker and then add browned beef.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours - depends on size of beef.
Remove beef, cover in foil and let rest 15-20 minutes.
Transfer sauce to sauce pan. Skim off as much fat as you can.
Bring to simmer and reduce by half...about 15-20 minutes.
Serve shredded beef with honey balsamic glaze on top.
Enjoy.
