This Cajun New Orleans style dirty rice recipe is the BEST. It was soooo good, we had it for 3 meals. I used ground beef and chicken livers but you can use sausage and chicken hearts or gizzards. Love all the cajun flavors. You can serve this as a side dish or a meal. Adobo seasoning 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1/4 tsp. onion powder 1/4 tsp. savory 1/4 tsp. thyme 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper - optional 1 tbsp. cajun seasoning 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley 3 tbsp. butter In a skillet on medium heat add butter, onions, celery, bell peppers and salt. Cook and stir for about 5 minutes or until veggies are tender. Add minced garlic. Cook and stir for a minute. Add ground beef and chopped chicken livers. Cook and stir until meat is no longer pink. Add seasonings and cook and stir for one minute. Add water and Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir for one minute. Add fresh chopped parsley and rice. Cook and stir for 3-4 minutes or until combined and rice heated through.
