Easy Homemade Strawberry Shortcake Biscuits Recipe

Enjoy. #shortcake #strawberryshortcake #shortcakebiscuits #tesscooks4u #recipes #cooking #food Easy Homemade Fluffy Shortcake Biscuits INGREDIENTS: 2 cups all purpose flour and more for dusting 1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 5 tbsp. diced cold unsalted butter 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup cold milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract Macerated strawberries: 1-2 pounds strawberries cleaned and sliced 1/4 cup sugar Combine dry ingredients and sift together. Add cold butter and cut into flour mixture until course crumbs. Stir together heavy cream, milk and vanilla extract. Pour into flour mixture and stir together until it starts for form then turn out onto a well floured surface. Pat and shape into rectangle. Fold in half and pat into another rectangle. Fold in half again and shape back into rectangle. Cover with tea towel and rest 30 minutes at room temperature. Lightly roll dough to approx 3/4" thick and cut biscuits. Transfer to parchment lined baking sheet. Lightly brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar (optional). Bake at 425 degrees Farenheit for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. *****************************************
